Club Phokaia occupies a fantastic beachfront location overlooking the beach and turquoise waters of Mersinaki Bay where you will find excellent sailing conditions.
Club Phokaia has a spacious feel, set amongst beautiful landscaped gardens with plenty of quiet spots to relax and winding pathways leading down to the beach. The large swimming pool is the focal point, with an extra large terrace and great views of the bay. With very few steps and most facilities being on one level it is perfect for families.
Whilst offering seclusion with its own bay and beach, Club Phokaia is also 2km (25 min walk) away from the port town of Eskifoca, more commonly known as Foca (pronounced Fotcha), a picturesque fishing village which is steeped in history and has a charming, un-spoilt feel.
Sailors and windsurfers of every level and ability will enjoy this fantastic sailing venue. Gentle cross shore Meltemi winds build throughout the day to a good force 6 with July and August seeing the most consistent conditions.
Launching is easy from the gently shelving sand and shingle beach and the large enclosed bay enjoys mostly flat-water conditions. It is perfect for beginners and those wishing to enjoy speed sailing and blasting across the bay. Sailors and windsurfers looking for more challenging sailing and windsurfing will really enjoy the conditions further out with moderate waves plus bump ‘n’ jump conditions. Mornings in the bay are just perfect for waterskiing and wakeboarding, which is included in your holiday price.
Accommodation is in the main building (Junior suites, standard twin and double rooms with sea and pool view junior suites consist of a master bedroom with spa bath and a separate lounge with sofa bed; they can connect to an additional twin room, perfect for larger groups or families), garden rooms (some interconnect), family rooms (closer to the beach and situated by the swimming pool: single storey with a double bed and set of bunk beds within the same room and a terrace overlooking the gardens with views towards the sea and garden villas (each is split over 2 floors with 2 bedrooms).

Operates 6 days a week.
4-23 months with ratios of 1 carer (grade 3 in childcare) to 2 children, extra charge £250 for 1 week or £440 for 2 weeks. Lunchtime is unsupervised and you need to provide feeding equipment, processed baby food and formula milk - can be purchased locally.
2-4 years with ratios of 1 carer to 4 children. Lunchtime is supervised and healthy food provided according to your board basis. Activities range from adventures on the beach in catamarans to mystery trips, arts, crafts and treasure hunts.

Clubs are divided in to 5-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-17 years. (Clubs maybe combind if numbers are small). Complimentary. Run 6 days a week and are flexible so you can drop in as suits.
Activites, on and off the water are organised according to age but all children get a chance to try sailing, Kayaking, windsurfing and tennis. All staff are fully trained and will ensure days are action packed.
In addition to tennis run by clubs for keen 8-14 year olds there is extra tennis coaching, 1 hour per day, 6 days a week.
Extra club HOTSHOTS from 8-12 years at an extra charge of £150 for 1 week or £275 for 2 weeks that is a water based club and focuses more on watersports, beginners to advanced.

Meals at the Club Phokaia
Club board: this consists of daily breakfasts & lunches and four evening meals in our restaurant (which is all included in the price). On non inclusive evenings you are free to explore the local area, or stay at the hotel & enjoy our a la carte menu. There is a variety of seating arrangements, with separate children's clubs & adult dining areas as well as a family section.
High tea is available for the under 4year olds usually served at 5pm. Main dinning is from 7pm.

The port town of Eski Foca is only 2 kilometres away from Club Phokaia. The
ancient city of ‘Phokaia’ took its name from the word ‘seal’ and Foca today is the site of one of three marine protected areas established for the preservation of the Mediterranean Monk Seals which gather on the small islands offshore. Foca is set around two bays known locally as ‘Big Sea’ and ‘Little Sea’. The famous Siren Rocks mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey can be seen across the bay of Foca. There are two small fortresses dating from Byzantine, Genoese and Ottoman times, but the ruins are merely a sideshow to the allure of the town itself with old Ottoman-Greek houses, open air restaurants lining the shore, a good selection of shops, a great weekly market and an authentic charm.
Further afield are the world famous sites of Ephesus and Pamukkale, while the bright lights of Izmir with its historical importance, superb architecture and interesting culture is just a 1 hour 15 minute drive away.
