Firstly we would like to reassure you of our expertise in advising you on your holiday.
If you are driving to the airport then book valet parking; tried and tested by us and many of our customers it is worth every penny. You can leave your car in the departures lane with a chauffeur and it will be waiting for you in the arrivals area on your return, eliminating the need for any bus journey in either direction.
Allow some extra time at the airport as dashing through can be very stressful. It is an exciting, busy place for a child and they do not like to be rushed.
Check-in online if you can to avoid a possible lengthy queue.
If you have a buggy then you must check it in as luggage but are usually allowed to take it right to the aircraft door. On arrival at your destination they occasionally bring them to you as you disembark but often you will collect them with the luggage so be prepared you will need to carry everything, including your child and it can be a fair distance.
You can often sit on the tarmac for some time so hold-off on the sweets or drinks until you actually start to take-off.
Do ask for anything extra you may need.
If you are hiring a car please bear in mind that this can sometimes be quite a lengthy process and children get bored of waiting in queues. Remember to save some drinks and snacks for tired children and encourage them to have a little walk or run around (under supervision) to stretch their legs. It's also a good way to get rid of some energy, having been cooped up in the aeroplane for so long and to help them settle for your car journey.
