Located near Royan in an area popular with British tourists for its gorgeous sandy beaches and summer climate, which is not as hot in peak months as many Mediterranean destinations this all inclusive Club Med resort is a real find. With travel times so short it is perfect, especially if you are limited to a week or want to combine a stay-put with exploring for a week.
The Resort (3 trident) could not be better located in a peaceful and beautiful location along the beach but yet with easy access along promenade to shops, bars and restaurants if you fancy a change.
Although a 3 trident resort the rooms (392) are spead out in simple, 2 storey blocks amongst the pines and are comfortably furnished. Family rooms available with double room and twin bedded room.
This particular Club Med resort is not promoted to the UK market and if you prefer that other English guests are staying then you do need to travel in the main school holidays.

Petit Club: 2-3 years open 6 days a week, 9am-5.30pm and 7.30pm-9pm (singing and stories whilst parents dine in peace). Lunch also available. Cost £210 per child per week.

Children's Club at the La Palmyre Atlantique
4-10 years 6 days a week, 9am-5.30pm and 7.30-9pm. Designated secure area with its own pool, paddling pool and play equipment. Split into smaller groups according to age. Children can choose each day between different sports, games, creative etc.
Sports activites include: windsurfing, tennis, sailing, football, skating. archery. Children have to be a certain age to participate in some of these.

Almost all activities can be arranged for children with children's club, adults only sessions or as a family activiity.

'Baby corner' in main restaurant where equipment to prepare meals such as mixers, microwaves as well as jars of sweet and savoury baby food are provided. Highchairs and boaster seats available.
'Baby restaurant' opens 6-7.30pm where parents can enjoy freshly cooked meals with their young children.

The Plage de la Grande Côte is a public beach with no facilities, 4 kms (2.5 miles) long with promenade, next to the Resort.

Many Km's of cycle tracks (bikes can be hired at extra cost), stroll along promendade to Royan zoo or bars and restaurants of resort.

Club Med
A French company which has changed so much in the last few years; there has been millions of pounds on investments in the clubs themselves, they are mostly in the best locations and of course being French you can be sure the food is superb.
We recommend these for active families who don’t mind that British guests can be in the minority especially outside of our school holidays. Certain clubs guarantee English speaking staff and have a higher proportion of British guests, please ask us for details.
