• Half term if you only have a week. You will prefer a weekend day flight so must book early, especially for October and February as the range of destinations offering warmth is restricted by the weather.

• The return in January from any Christmas and New Year breaks. You are competing not just with other families but many who travel to see friends and relatives and take advantage of the bank holidays. Easter can be similar.

• Any holiday in the main school holidays if you would like guaranteed interconnecting rooms or a suite.
